Our packaging
As a Kiwi-owned and operated business, we certainly take into consideration the effect that our choice of materials, and what effect this has on New Zealand.
We spend a lot of time working with our suppliers to ensure that we have as little environmental impact as we can.
We are proud to say that:
We have a low carbon footprint, all our potatoes come from the farm which is only 30km down the road.
All our cardboard is made from recycled card, and we also recycle cardboard onsite that is not used.
All our shrink wrap is compacted down and collected for recycling.
All our packets onsite that are not used for final product are compacted down and placed in our local recycling bin as our collection is able to collected #5 materials.
We are also a member of the soft plastics initiative which has soft plastics bins in place throughout the North Island and some outlets in the South Island, customers are welcome to place our chips packets into these bins and they are then collected and made into fence posts. We constantly work with our suppliers to make sure that we are using the best substrate to keep our product safe and to make sure that the effect on the environment is minimal.
